NEW ZEALAND
The Flying High or Kids World Balloon Project was launched on the 9th of December 2013 at Balmoral School in Auckland. Children made postcards for us, which will be shared with other kids along our route. Project Director, Andrew parker, and UNICEF Repreentative, Dennis McKinlay spoke to the children about the project and the importance of education.
Two flights were made over New Zealand’s fourth largest city, Hamilton. One was for the popular evening TV show, Seven Sharp.
In New Zealand our focus was raising awareness about children’s right to education.

AUSTRALIA
We had three events in Australia. One at Ferny Grove High School in Brisbane, another at Grafton Primary School and the last, attending the Canberra Balloon Spectacular.
Postcards were shared at the two schools and Project Director, Andrew Parker, spoke to the kids about what the project and the importance of education.
In Canberra, we participated in the world renowned balloon festival, the Canberra Balloon Spectacular. We flew over Australia’s Capital each day during the eight day event.
In Australia our focus was raising awareness about children’s right to education.
